The robot supports a 3kg rated payload and 6kg maximum payload, making it suitable for handling components, tooling, fixtures and workpieces in a wide range of industrial automation applications.
The G6-551S provides ±0.015mm repeatability for Joints 1 and 2, ±0.010mm for Joint 3 and ±0.005° for Joint 4. These specifications provide accurate and consistent positioning for repetitive assembly, transfer, dispensing and handling operations.
With a 0.36-second standard cycle time, the G6-551S is designed for high-throughput production. Its high-rigidity arm and Epson PowerDrive servo technology provide fast acceleration, smooth start/stop motion and reduced residual vibration.
The standard G6-551S uses tabletop mounting and has a 180mm Z-axis stroke. The G6-55x platform is also available in ceiling- and wall-mounted configurations, with longer 330mm Z-axis versions available in the G6-553 series.
The G6 series can be configured for standard, cleanroom and ESD environments, with optional protected models depending on configuration. Epson also supports the G6 platform with its RC+ programming environment and integrated automation options.
